Interview with Mr Bartlett
Hinchley Wood School and the Future by Jamie and Poppy
Education is a hot topic at the moment so we spoke to two of our Senior Management team about their thoughts on the current state of Hinchley Wood School.
Firstly we spoke to Deputy Head Teacher Mr Glover.
1. What makes Hinchley Wood different from other schools?
“Hinchley Wood School has and outstanding Ofsted report which is the highest Ofsted you can get.” “We have many extracurricular clubs for students to involve in, including drama, art and music. A lot of students are included in these clubs and regularly turn up. Unlike many schools Hinchley Wood has multiple residential trips through the year, for all year groups.”
2. What makes Hinchley Wood School special?
“The students make this school special as they are motivated and proud of their school, also all of the staff, from the head to the caretaker are very dedicated to making the school a special place” “as well a the students coming out with good results they also come out as a better person, Hinchley wood has a lot of international links especially with the Gulu Police Primary School, where we have made many donations and visits to help improve
3. How does Hinchley Wood help new students?
“The students would be helped if they came to this school also the school also supplies subjects such as citizenship to help students extend their ability of learning and help them in the long run. Here it is not all about the results. “
4. Did you imagine that Hinchley Wood School would be as developed as it is know when you first started?
“It was a vision for the school to become this big; ten years ago we set ourselves this vision and now the vision just keeps growing.”
We then spoke to Mr Griffiths, one of our Assistant Head Teachers about his feelings on the subject.
